The origins of hella were from Northern California. Much like many of you people currently possessive of hella mcweaksauce-ness, I too found this word very skeptical.

HOWEVER.

Progressing much like the killer bees, hella found its way down to Socal, where it was quickly embraced by boba drinking Asian teens with modified Honda civics and the valley wapanese kids. Once OCM decided that the use of hella was acceptable, it became as universally accepted as people pronouncing Ryu from Street Fighter "Ree-you".

This concludes your daily history lesson. I'm pretty sure for all of you, this was totally wicked awesome.
