UC: My friend that I was going to go to California with over winter break decided that December is no time for a road trip.
PS: Talked to my mom about maybe having my Christmas present be half of a plane ticket to Cali and back and she didn't look at me like I was crazy. Her biggest concern was me affording things. Holy smurf, I think I might be going to Californina....

UC: Now I need to convince Blondie's mom not to pay for that half of a plane ticket. Maybe she can ground her again somehow. (Note to self: Incriminate Blondie for innocuous criminal offense)
AF: Feeling old now. Think I got too much money sitting in my savings account doing nothing...got the urge to invest it.
UC: Stock market. UGH.

I have a feeling at this point that it's more my dad's decision than my mom's, and if he does what he always does, he'll say yes, even if my mom doesn't want him to. Haha.
And I will gladly take some of that money from your savings account. I'd like to start a retirement fund but between school/Italy/possible Cali trip I'm too broke.

Too late for that, I'm locked into Italy. And really, California would only cost me about a paycheck if I can get my parents to pay for half the plane ticket. Pretty sure that's worth it.

PS: So, all of our weekly gallery reviews from my art criticism course are published on our class website/blog. We have comments turned on, but no one had written anything to acknowledge that our stuff is being read...
Until today, when one of the artists responded to my (actually quite scathing) review, with this:
"Hello Chloe,
I wanted to thank you for your extremely well written review of the recent Gallery Crawl. I was especially impressed with your paragraph regarding my exhibition with Peter Johnson at 709 Penn Gallery. Its always great to have positive words written about my work but it is especially gratifying when those words are professionally well crafted and describe the exhibition in a wonderful light. You are an excellent writer. If you ever want to visit my studio feel free to contact me anytime.
All the best,

Not the point really, I'm not trying to cry "waah it's so unfair that nobody wants to go out with me", just saying a lot of that description fits me remarkably well - more so than any other psychological/social "disorder" I've heard of.
