HR: Guys, I think it's time to abandon ship on Facebook.
The legion of MySpace-using hordes have arrived. The trend of profile pictures containing underclassmen girls bent over to display their cleavage is the most revealing (lol) sign of this inevitable invasion.
Facebook's home page must now say "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here," as I have just descended through the lowest layer of Mark Zuckerberg's Inferno.

UC: I've been making my list of potential grad schools/advisors, and they all seem to fit into one of the following:
- Really hard to get into (ex: Caltech)
- in Georgia (GA Tech)
on the bright side, Tech would be really easy for me to get into, and the research I'm nterested in would take me to random islands out in the Pacific. But still, GA... hmmm.

...oh, you meant high school students? See, the key is that I'm not facebook friends with any high school underclassmen, so I have absolutely no clue what you're going on about. Facebook is self selecting. You don't have to friend non-college underclassmen, bro. Stick to the collegiates. Like, I get friended by fake pornographer accounts all the time. Just reject their friend requests. It's not like they can do anything to you until you friend them.
Unless... oh, man, are you talking about one of your 12 children?
Damn, I feel bad for you son. Got 99 problems but my daughter's cleavage aint one.

Careers when you don't have to deal with people don't exist, broski. Unless you want to work on an assembly line, or as a homesteading farmer. When it comes down to it, there will always be some mixture of coworkers, bosses, friends, and subordinates, and life is mostly a process of dealing with them in such a way that doesn't infuriate you. Nothing is particularly "clear" about life -- I mean, I'm sorry, but nobody can really manage another person's life. Not successfully. Mistakes are a part of life and everybody makes them, and they make mistakes of varying intensity. Don't let the mistakes of others get you down or annoyed, man.

I guess it's not that I get mad at these people it's just...I see a few strengths that I have, and when I see people without them...I'm kinda thrown through a loop. I don't view myself as having strengths in that light, I guess. Maybe it's not even the mistakes, it's the inability to learn from them.

PS: Regarding my temporary loss of faith in people, after a 225 horsepower meditation, I've just realized that people are free to find what they want in life. People who want drama will find it, and those who don't will avoid it. They will reach their own equilibrium. People are condemned to be free to wrangle with their own inclinations and what they really want in life. People are responsible for their own smurf-ups more often than not, but that's what they wanted. Who am I to suggest they not be free to their own downfall should they choose it?
People will wind up how they want. It's of no concern to me, especially when I've never met someone. In the sage words of medical professional Dr. Dre, "smurfs ain't smurf but hoes and tricks." Clearly, he recognized the inevitability of hoedom and trickey upon those who freely choose accordingly.
