UC: I was having a good day and feeling perfectly fine, even optimistic, until my mom came into my room and started talking about my college situation, which led to the same circular, goes-nowhere conversation about my emotional problems and sucky life situation that we've had 5 million times and which never helps anything. And we have a family dinner in an hour and a half that I was looking forward to, and now I'm just in a bad mood again. smurf.

PS: Today was good, hung out with some new people at lunch.
PS: Just had a 90 minute conversation over dinner with a friend of mine down the hall that spanned physics, astronomy, and international drug policy. He also explained differential equations on a napkin (although as an econ major, I made the obligatory objection that napkins are to be used for the sole purpose of illustrating the ideal tax rate), and I made sense of it. Cool. I'm glad to see that there's plenty of intellectual conversation to be had 'round here.
UC: I did so at the expense of putting off studying for a calculus test.
PS: I don't care!

I quote my roommate, the wisest of fellows: "TAYLOR SWIFT ROCKS smurf BEYONCE"
Also:
I was out in the hall
Like ten of us were throwing bottles into recycling bins
Roommate came out and was like
"I HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO BUT I HAVE TO GET AT LEAST ONE"
Then he messed up one bin and everyone told him to fix it
And he was like "SAY PLEASE"
Then he took the lid off and wouldn't put it back until someone said please
Then later he was standing in the way of the bin and one of them hit him in the head and the guy said "Get out of the way" and he said "YOU COULD AT LEAST SAY SORRY, JESUS"
It took him an hour to make one
Seriously nothing has brought the people on my floor together as much as him.

8: Wake up, eat, etc.
9: Get to the testing center for the calc test.
9-11:30: get raped by said calc test.
12-5:45: English, History of Ethics, Calculus, Soviet Experiment back to back.
5:45-9: Speech meeting. I can't do policy this semester because I have class during their meeting time, so if I decide to keep with it, I'll probably be doing impromptu, extemp, and persuasion.
9: Do calc homeowrk. And read Confucius' Analects.
Whenever: sleep so I can wake up for my 9:30 class and talk about Confucius.
PS: Assuming no further absurd family issues that require me to go home arise in the near future, hopefully I can be back on a regular sleep schedule by Thursday.
