I'm pretty sure they said wood elf. So maybe they were talking about LOTR instead, since we were about to watch it at the time.
But they definitely play WoW. A lot. And iMatt, I think they have characters on both sides. They're weird like that.

There are few influences as corrupting as Barrens Chat on Horde side.

VPS: I'm really proud of how our AcDec team picked things up today. I think they've got a ton of potential, and seeing three honors break 6,600 on Acalon 7s at this point in the year as sophomores and freshmen, I'm excited to see them perform even better in years to come. We'll be making something happen.

We came in fourth place out of thirteen at the Highland Invitational today. With one varsity. Yeaaaah.

I think it actually reads funnier that way

and yes, at ERAU, there is a very good chance you could be living with a guy who speaks little to no english. Just pray it's not an asian, those people never talk to anyone. Which might actually be a good thing, it'd be like not having a roommate, just a resident very tidy ghost that didn't spook anyone.

We don't mean Asian-Americans. We mean student visa Chinese and Japanese students. I've multipal ones of those in my classes. THey seem to be very takative with each other, but not toward the English-speaking population. There is also a fair chance he could be Latin American or Middle Eastern. We have a lot of foreign students. My freshman class of 450 represented 18 different countries.

Men can send people to the moon, create ridiculously complex computers (if you think there's nothing complex about a computer, try to gain a working knowledge of every single component, down to the smallest detail), and theorize about physics in 11 dimensions, but we can't figure out women worth a damn.

Depends on the guy and the situation. My friend Bill, for instance, would be the opposite of that and be rebounding and sexing up the nearest lady about two minutes later, or would not care at all anyway. He doesn't give a smurf about smurfs, to put it plainly. I know a lot of guys like that. I'm not like that, but I'm not like crazy clingy or anything complicated unless the person I broke up with / broke up with me gets weird about it. Don't generalize when it comes to relationships, because everything is a different snowflake. And everybody is a different polar bear.

PS: I like La Quinta hotels. They are cozy and feel like home to me.

UC: That Motel 6 in San Antonio was the sketchiest ever.

AF: Drive today was soooo long.

??: Louisiana... smells bad. I don't know how else to say it. Like. Really. It smelled awful. What? What was that.

PS: Cards win, Cavs win. Good day for America IMO? Also I was in Dallas yesterday and I think I got some Cowboys fandom on my shirt from Christy's place. So I guess that residue is pretty excited for their win, even if I have "literally no strong opinion on that". I hope this does not last long it feels dirty to have any positive feelings for the Cowboys.

My family will never stay at La Quinta. Not even as a last resort.

The one my parents stayed at one night on their honeymoon, coming back I think, gave away their room. And made them sleep on a sleeper sofa because it was the only thing unoccupied. Hotel knew they were going to be late (they took the train) and they'd paid by credit card. Idiot staff.

Or, more likely, you've just been lucky as to what types of girls come into your life. tongue.gif

Honestly, though, "understanding" any person is hard work. I am generally perceptive and sensitive about other people, but I sometimes forget things even about my best friends or family. And trying to understand a person's motivations for conduct in the sphere of romantic relationships is damn near impossible. I think all you can do is try your best to be good to those you care about, and if you accidentally do something bad, learn a lesson and do better next time.
