PS: ranjogwalkdragged myself a little over 16 miles tonight. ran along the beach for a few miles, was beautiful, no sense of distance, just the stars and the waves and a tourist couple every now and then. I was just happy that I could keep moving for that long (about 4 hours, if you don't count the breaks for food and problem 4 of my calc homework (drew it in the sand, people looked at me like I was crazy. even after I explained why I didn't want them walking on it)).
AF: my feet are hurting in about 4 different ways. I was shivering a while ago, under a comforter, and it's not cold.
HR: PT in 3 hours
PS/HR: I'm currently medically disqualified, so I get to sit on an aluminum bench for an hour in shorts that dig into my ass. At least I won't have to try to run more.

PS: after that 16-mile run, had a good conversation with a close friend, finished my briefing due 0915 the next day, got two hours of sleep, woke up at 0650, and only nodded off a few times in my 0915 AFROTC class.
PS: boots finally in, can wear my ABUs now.
UC: dammit I'm still craving tacos. my sudden desire for tacos last night was a major factor in me jogging that far. but I never found that damned elusive taco bell....

That said, I do not regret my ill-conceived foray into it, because I really did gain a new appreciation for what I'm good at, and what I'm not.

HHHHHHHR: Need to stop getting signals crossed between my brain and my hands. Should not have dropped left hand contents, key and ID card, into trash chute, in place of right hand contents, rice krispies treat wrapper. Especially now that the custodians are gone for the night. Tomorrow is going to be HELL...providing I can find it before they get the trash out. Can't believe no one other than the custodial staff has the keys to wherever the hell the chute goes...

1. Is your door locked?
2. If so, does your RA or whatever have a key to your room/is there a universal key that you could obtain?

If the answer to the first question is no, why are you worrying? If the answer to the first is yes and the second is no, then worry. If they're both yes, again, don't worry. I'm sure Cal has a system to give you a new ID card. You'll be fine haha, it'll just be inconvenient. Sooo many of my friends have drunkenly lost their keys and IDs before. It's not really a big deal.
beregond
Obviously I've already explained this to you, but for everyone else: At Cal our doors lock automatically; there's no way to have an unlocked door. So I'll just tape over the slot in the doorframe until I get the key/ID back. It's just annoying because it means I have to sign in at the security monitor all the time without an ID, as well as wait for people to open the front door/elevator/stairwell, because all those only work with a key. Thank god at least the bathroom doesn't require a key anymore.
And if I want a new key, they'll need to replace the lock on our door (again, my roomie lost his key on the way back from the gym about a week or two ago), and we both need new keys. I can get a new ID fairly easily, although I believe it may cost something, and I won't have my bus pass for the rest of the semester either...I'd really rather avoid all that hassle, hence my willingness to dig through a night's worth of trash at 8 in the morning.
EDIT: NOT DRUNK!

...wanna talk about it?

K, so basically I was super stressed out by a combo of school and work and this whole dating a girl for about 4 months and she was getting to be super clingy and all that and she was all like "heck yes let's get married" and I'm all like "hey do I get a say?" Also, whenever I was busy at work or out of town or whatever she would call and be all like "I need you here I'm just so sad and depressed and I feel sick and why can't you be here right now and hold me and make things better?"

Anyway, last night all of this came to a head when I had a fairly crappy day at work, which ended with me standing out by the dumpster, throwing out garbage bags full of broken beer bottles, covered in beer-water-liquid, fingers cut by the glass. And that made me pretty pissed off, so much so that I just showered and went to bed. Of course, she called oh like 38 times wondering why I wouldn't hang out with her, and eventually getting all passive aggressive.

So today after work she calls and asks if I am less pissed off, which i am, and I'm talking with her and suddenly I'm breaking up with her and she's crying and saying "we can't break up" and "I thought you liked me for me" and a whole lot of other stuff and now I'm pretty sure she hates me but on the plus side I'm eating food again which I really hadn't since like monday and my stress level is much lower...

Dude, that sounds like the least healthy relationship i've ever heard of since that one dude tuned some chick into a vampire then knocked her up and his rival the werewolf totally imprinted himself on the kid so he would be like its guardian.

but seriously.

based on what you posted in there, it sounds like it's time to either call it off or have a real discussion about how even though you like her, there is more to life than being with one person constantly.

Either you're a girl, or you have a long-term girlfriend.
Or you've been very, VERY bored in your lifetime.
I'm assuming that's the only reason you know that that's the Twilight storyline...I'm also assuming that that is the actual Twilight storyline?

PS: I don't need to overload both semesters next year, because I calculated my credits incorrectly. Only need one.
Big PS: I can fill it by two half credit courses instead of one full credit one, meaning I get to have a very normal schedule next year.
Bigger PS: I am on pace to graduate just fine after all the crap from this semester and last semester.

Hey guys remember that.

Well prepare for

HR: My advisor is a moron, and the math class I dropped is required for graduation.
HRx2: So I need to overload one more semester.
HRx3: So, what's next year gonna include for me. I have to publish, because you can't graduate in my major without being published. I'll be working 10 hours at a legit analysis job next semester -- not as a 7 hour a week gun-for-hire transcriptionist like before, where it was easy. And, I mean, I'm a senior. So there is the whole task of getting a "pay the bills, start a career" sort of job. So on top of that I gotta take five classes one of those semesters, and these aren't pushover easy classes.
HRx4: What if I'm fighting depression when next year starts?

Basically uh

At least one semester of my senior year... may end up being worse than my junior year.

Guys.

smurf the world.
Dr. Roffles
okay because i'm a scheduling wizard i have fixed my schedule mostly. still sucks way more than it did this time yesterday, but it is not impossible. my last class is no longer legit, it is weight training one semester and swing dancing the next. that still is kind of dumb but whatever. anyway so i figured that out but then realized i have no particular way to take a stats elective next semester because none of them are workable in my schedule with the classes i have to take (including, due to what has to be the stupidest oversight in the statistics department in years, the fact that they made the awesome statistical consulting class every senior takes/enjoys at the exact same time as our thesis advisor meetings).

so now I need to create a research proposal to make my own stats independent study. it needs to be entirely disparate from my thesis research since we can't double-dip. dunno what i'll research. but at least this one only needs to be research + departmental released paper, not research + needs to be published paper (though it will certainly be good practice for when i have to put together the real deal next spring)). okay. so my life isn't ruined. just harder. not ruined.

phew.

phewwww.
