PS: Have a job interview to be the coach of my high school's AcDec team next year. smurf yeah.

Wow, really? In our district you have to be 21 to be any sort of official coach or chaperone.

While my school district let a varsity from the previous year's team coach during his freshman year in college.
And we all know how that turned out.
So we did it again the next year. Make a whole lot of sense doesn't it?

For us, you have to actually be a teacher at the school. I did assistant coaching last summer (and probably will this summer) but I think many of us have done that for our former high schools. Regardless, congrats, Ian, on the interview; I hope you get the job too.

Yeah, I mean, I assistant-coached throughout last fall to help the new coach get started, but not in any official capacity. I wasn't paid for it and would not have been allowed to accompany them to a competition.

Good luck, Ian!

Nice airport, well-run and easily to navigate. Of course this is the first time I've been in an airport dominated by Delta which is a bit strange but still cool nonetheless. Also the view is absolutely beautiful looking into the mountains. Lastly, on flight from Dallas met a few Mormons who just finished their mission trip. Idk how these guys can do this for two years, but props to them.

Eeeeeexcellent: Not only do I get to go on a geology field trip today, but once I finish adding the citations to my essay, I have no more major work until finals. Plus, I was invited by a former German teacher to come help judge her current students' big presentations, so I get to abuse my power and then enjoy a three day weekend.

Just got back from a volunteering odyssey of sorts: Left for downtown on the Orange line at about noon yesterday, went to Red line and helped my aunt, who runs the LA Conservancy's Last Remaining Seats program, with their first night. Helped with running all up and down all six floors of the Los Angeles Theatre delivering stuff, putting up signs, and serving as stage crew from about 1 pm to 2 am, involving driving an Armenian security guard to Glendale (insert stereotypical comment here) at the end of the night so he could get home. Slept at her house, took a bus from UCLA to the Orange line and drove home again. Just back now.
Fun stuff!

Normally you need to at least be a certified employee (so the rule work-around is usually becoming a substitute teacher, which just requires a bachelor's degree), but given the circumstances (no teacher is willing to put in the amount of work required for a $1000 stipend), they are willing to hire me if I have a certified employee as a "sponsor" who will drive the buses and volunteer his room for meetings. After a long, unsuccessful coach recruiting campaign that lasted four years, Mr. Scott is willing to be that sponsor.

So I'm excited.

Good luck Ian. Sounds awesome, hope you get it.

HR: We can't be 100% sure, but a friend of mine and I think one of our old high school friends is going through a massive psychotic meltdown. She's been having a lot of strange health problems for years, but from our recent conversations with her it sounds like she's lost the ability to recognize what reality is. She sleeps 14 hours a day, hallucinates, and sporadically has 24 hour periods where she can no longer use her eyes. Friends suddenly developing absurdly serious mental illnesses? Really really frightening.

I'm really sorry.

For all the things you will never be able to unsee.

No worries, there was nothing I would wish to unsee. The "Juggalettes" despite (or perhaps because of) their craziness, were pretty good looking.

Quick run down of what happened tonight
1) I got a cowboy hat
2)Was part of a fight(trying to break it up) and got to see a security guard superman off the security railing in the front and tackle the guy.
3) Got drenched in Faygo, which is apparently a root beer that ICP likes to throw/squirt at people, and I swear they used over 200 liters.

Conclusion, ICP's music isn't great, but it can be catchy, and if you can lose your inhibitions a bit and go with the flow, they put on a hell of a show. Plus, ICP fans, for all of their occasional stupidity and weirdness, are pretty chill people most of the time.

No, so so very wrong. Or you're dealing with very different fanatics. The ICP fans I've known, and I've had the misfortune to know a good many of them, have been the absolute dregs of the earth with no redeeming qualities lol. I mean I'm talking rape and such. The ones I've known are low-lives (and not hurr I'm a low-life lawl I'm different derp derp) and somehow proud of it.

Edit: I think the closer you get to the epicenter of Juggalo Creation ( ie: Detroit), the worse they get.

Their show was good enough that I *almost* forgave them for that song. I'm not, nor have I ever, praising their song writing. I'm saying they put on a good show.

Also, did you miss the part where I said KOTTONMOUTH Kings was playing too? Baked is an understatement. But in their defense, they were chill before the air smelled like KB.
